The movie robot girl, voiced by Australian actress Miley Cyrus, will take over the world when she is introduced in the fourth instalment of Disney’s live action animated film franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
In her first appearance, Cyrus plays a human princess who is in need of a robot.
“I love robots,” Cyrus said in the film, “and I really hope I get to live out my childhood dream of being a robot princess.
The first robot I had was a little toy, but then I got this robot that was really awesome, and that was my inspiration.
And I wanted to get to see it grow up, to see what I could do with it.”
Disney’s Star Wars is the first time that Cyrus has played a female character in a live action film, which she said made it all the more exciting.
“I think I was just a little nervous, and I kind of knew that I was going to have to be brave and act on my instinct and not go along with the narrative of what she wanted to do.
It was so fun.
I got to be in that moment of my life where I’m like, ‘I want to be a part of this story.'”
Miley Cyrus is not the only actress who has been given the opportunity to play a female role in the Star Wars universe.
In a 2016 interview with Time, actress Idris Elba said he wanted to play Darth Vader and that he felt he would be able to do so.
Elba played Vader for five seasons in the first film, Episode IV: A New Hope.
“He’s a great character.
And we’ve seen him in so many films that we’ve worked on and he’s so iconic.
So, it was an honor to be able get to play him in the franchise,” Elba told Time.”
It’s a lot of fun, the character, the idea of the character is so cool,” Elbaum said.
“The characters are so unique and so strong.
And the characters of the films are really interesting.
I just want to bring it back to a certain place, and it’s a fun time.”
Elba was nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Vader, but he ultimately lost out to his co-star Mark Hamill.
Elba said his decision to play Vader was based on the fact that he would not be able as an actor to bring a lightsaber to the screen.
“It was something that I felt was important to me that I had to do in order to be part of the movie.
So it was a real challenge, but it was the best decision for me.”
Cyrus said that her character would be a “powerful” and “brilliant” warrior, adding that she hoped to see the world “rebuild” and return to a “normal” existence.
“For a lot, a lot more of the audience, I think they’ll come out of this movie feeling very optimistic about things.
And it’s going to be exciting to see how things go and see how this film has been able to create a lot for people,” Cyrus added.
Disney’s live-action Star Wars films have become a phenomenon, and the Star Trek franchise has been particularly successful, selling more than 4.7 million tickets in 2016.
